I have a 1" threaded fork that I want to put in a 1 1/8" headtube with a threadless system now in place. Is there any way that this can be done?

What you're looking for is either a headset reducer or better yet, the Chris King Devolution headset.

Problem Solvers is the brand name. The product that you are looking for is a headtube reducer. Regular retail will be about $30.00 and it's usually hard to find "deals" on stuff like this. You'll still need a 1" threaded headset so this won't be a cheap project.

How tall is your fork compared to your head tube? What you are looking for is your headtube length + the stack height of your chosen headset + 2mm for the problem solvers + any spacers you plan to use. If your fork's steerer tube is any other length you'll have to cut it or stretch it or give up on it.

Problem solvers eh, any idea who sells these. I asked around my lbs for this type of product and they seemed to think I was speaking a foreign language. The devolution looks great but I could most likely buy a new 1 1/8 fork for the same price. Still, Chris King..., nah, just one more thing to get riped off.

Appreciate the thought Scoob. I don't need to switch forks, I just like my old rigid straight fork and thought it would look good of my new ride. Style points ja know. One question on the uggleee, are the blades straight or curved, cause ugglee ain't that bad, save me looking for nice bikes to lock up next to.

I found them in my Quality catalogue so any average or better LBS should be able to get you a set. Tell them to look it up in the headset parts section.

Thems is curved ughleee forks, acutually, they are from a GT. For a 26" wheel, and have Canti studs. I they have about 165mm on the steerer tube.

Thanks for checking Scoob. The forks on the bike now are curved c-dale stock that came on the bike last year. I like the look of the straight forks. Gives a nice look to the frame, all the angles match. I figure my fashion sense is so bad that my ride should at least look sweet.
