I read your post title and thought for sure this was going to be a Sarah Palin endorsement.

Hey, don't go! Let's talk about Palin! I think she is much more attractive than Biden!

Yup -- she's fine!!! I'd do her in a heartbeat -- but I gotta tell ya -- I'm a lot more comfortable with the thought of ME in her oval orifice than HER in the Oval Office!

Oh, I think McCain's gamble on her is off to a bad start. Ms. Clean Campaign Family Values Evangelical Hope didn't even have time for the ink to dry on the newspapers announcing the decision and her corruption scandal ramped up a notch and she got 'Mom, i'm pregnant' from her 17 year old daughter. Palin is fairly competent and we could definitely do worse, but her platform just doesn't do it for me, personally.

She's cute. So is her pregnant daughter. The only thing is... god, who the hell named her kids? Piper? WILLOW?

And if you're going to be biking, bike. If you're driving, drive. No texting, reading, etc.

McCain knew of the pregnancy before he offered her the position.

Troopergate is a non-starter. And the *******s made themselves look even more stupid with the whole Trig is Bristol child routine. Even their savior Obama is telling them to back off.

Rather than focusing on the real issues facing the nation, we see the media and the nutjobs from both political spectrums running around looking in closets and under rugs for anything suitable for muckraking. Who gives a **** if Bristol got knocked up. There a hundreds, no, thousands of unwed mothers out there.....including Obamas.

Hate to continue the political muck racking... but it is the Republican party that tends to do the "looking in closets and under rugs for anything suitable..." at least when it comes to sex... and yet they then stand on "family values" while having lesbian children (current VP) and unwed children (potential next VP) and pointing out the other parties' weakness (getting BJ in office).

Perhaps if both parties focused on real issues, the country would be in a lot better shape.

BTW notice no use of derogatory terms when discussing "other party."

Troopergate could be a problem IF she lies under oath to the investigators like Clinton did about the BJ. It's pretty clear there was pressure with 25 phone calls by her staff ,husband and the firing afterwards.

I think Obama knows it's a bad strategy attacking the kids and I concur with that view.

I swear they named the kids where they conceived them. Bristol (Bristol bay), Willow (Willow stream), Piper (Piper plane)

What platform? And yes, we could do a lot worse, like Obama..

By the way, what does her teen aged daughter have to do with anything? Would you prefer she have an abortion? I think it's pretty cool the way she is standing by her.

Let's see, she controls 20% of the oil produced in America, she is a mother of five, Alaska has a balanced budget....it's working for me. Plus she has never been in Congress....another BIG PLUS.

Face it folks, when Obama passed over Hillary, he threw any chance of winning the election. For him to question Phalin's experience is certainly the pot calling the kettle black....

America is estimated to have some 750,000 teenage pregnancies a year. The National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy recently estimated that $9.1bn in public funding was expended on teenage childbearing in 2004. These costs include public assistance, healthcare, child welfare and other expenses.

The problem is not promiscuous teenagers, it is the absence of dirt cheap and near silent condom dispensers on the back of toilet doors in schools, combined with imbeciles that think teaching 'abstinence' is an adequate solution.

The problem is the people that are ******** enough to prevent children seeing educational material with graphic examples of a lion sinking it's teeth into the neck of a new born zebra - but are determined to make us all live in a constant state of fear from terrorists.

I am so relieved that you know what the "real issues" are.

So I guess the medias answer to the problem is shaming them.

  • "Alaska has a balanced budget...it's working for me"
California, biggest population of any state at 36.5 million. Alaska 47th with 700 thousand.
California crude oil reserves estimated at 3,435 million barrels.
Alaska crude oil reserves estimated at 4,171 million barrels.
Alaska also has more than double California's estimated Natural Gas reserves at 8.1 billion cubic feet.
So with oil reserves very close to those of Texas (the biggest in the nation) and a population tantamount to nothing, they can balance their budget, wow I am so impressed.

  • "Plus she has never been in Congress....another BIG PLUS"
She has absolutely no experience and that is a "plus"!

  • "she controls 20% of the oil produced in America, she is a mother of five"
Yay, she has God's own vulva, just what the nation needs.

Which is more important the media's answer, or a real solution?

Why do you care so much about the media's answer?

I agree that their needs to be access to condoms. And I am fairly sure that there is. Trouble is, we are talking about kids here. They have the "it won't happen to me attitude". And you know damn well that guys hate using the damn things.

What there needs to be is more support for teens adapting these children out to the countless families unable or unwilling to have their own.

Hopefully Palin's kid will chose this route, but, with the publicity that would get, it is probably not possible.

Now, if only they would pass a law so that anyone using a phone while driving(without a headset) gets sent to jail on the first offense. Can't stand people who use phones while they're driving.
