50+er doing Door County Century with another 50+er

Tinymite (aka Mrs. Skipper )and I are doing the DCC this Sunday. Well, maybe not the whole hundred. We'll be riding our tandem and hope to do atleast 64 miles. I think we could handle the full century. I'm not saying it would be easy, but I think we could do it.

Is anyone else doing this ride? Has anyone else here done this ride in the past?

What route are you taking? Last year I rode 65 miles in Door County. Started at Peninsula Park, south along the bay to Sturgeon Bay, east to Lily Bay, north to just west of Bailey's Harbor along Kangaroo Lake, and then across to Peninsula. It took about 4 and a half hours riding time.

It was a nice ride with some nice hills going up to the plateau on the second half of the ride. It was my longest ride of the year and I felt really good about it when finished.

I hope to ride 100 miles up their next year by going further north and then back down to Peninsula Park.

I hope you have a great ride and a tail wind the whole ride.
