Woo Hoo from Weymouth, Mass.

Last year I turned Dutch Uncle to my kin. I handed out a Jamis Aurora,Trek 790 and a Schwinn
56 paperboy replica. Since then I filled the empty spots in my garage with a tricross pro,TCR c1
and a C-dale Road Warrior to keep my 96 Proflex mtb company.
I've been commuting to Boston 16 miles for 16 years all 4 seasons 80% of the time.
I'm loggin in to learn stuff and yak on the commuting and winter riding forums.
It's great to be here!

Hi Bat22,

I half-commute from Kenmore Square to Norwood year round (I take the Commuter Rail home), and I actively read those forums. I occasionally ride through Weymouth on training rides and I'm trying to find a nice route to the seacoast without crossing the Fore River Bridge.

I look forward to your postings.

Jim

Coincidentally, I've been using the Fore River bridge the past week.
I use quiet residential side streets that bring me two blocks from the south side cross over and
pick up the side streets two blocks from the north side that parallel the Southern artery.
There is a hidden park that crosses under the south side of the bridge to a short bike path
that leads out to a water treatment plant that has views of Wessaguset Beach and some of
the inner islands. Gotta head out. Nice to meet you Jim.

Plymouth ? Cape Cod Wheelmen. I caught a few rec rides with them about 10 yrs. ago.
I wouldn't doubt they still do yeomans' work setting up the race course at Wampatauck.
F. Gilbert Dill Park was my favorite single track on the south shore. I normally pedal down to
Middleboro for a day out. I'm on the light duty list this summer, but I still manage to pedal to
work. Glad to hear from ya!

A saying I got from someone who had a one month hospital stay.
Right now roaming around on the flat bar 10 speed is cool.
Just the perspective of looking at the front tire between a wide flat bar.

Sometimes just looking down at the road watching the tyre rolling away the miles is mesmerising...
