Hayes Sole Levers same as HFX and Nine?
Anyone know if Hayes just rebadges their levers on their old HFX/Sole/Mag lineup? Considering upgrading a friend's disc calipers from the Sole to the HFX, but I need to know if the levers will give the same modulation as the complete HFX kit. Trying to keep costs down while getting some better braking.

Visually they look identical to Nines, a family member has them on his beater.

They may look similar outwardly; but (shooting from the hip here) I would hope that the design of the Sole is more like the Mags. My Mags were definitely different from the design of my son's Nines, which were not-so-good. The Nines have (had?) a piston-actuating rod that could rip out the circlip and washer in a crash that pulled the lever out. My Mags are a much-improved, robust design.
