A nice feeling...

is when you don't have car keys on your keyring.

I do have a car, I just don't need to have the keys on me all the time since I ride to work.

Yep. I keep my car keys on a separate ring. And that ring sits--little used--on my desk at home :-)

Seriously, and it's not to be snobby or anything against those who have to use their cars. It's just kind of liberating in the Motor City.

Sadly, I might be applying for and hopefully getting a job that would make a commute by bike a bit more difficult, so we'll see how long this keeps up.

Yeah, the public transit in my area is pretty bad, but I think I could figure out cycling to a bus with a bike rack and then riding the difference. We'll see what winter does do those ambitions! Horray for frozen mountain climber look!

I keep my house key on a ring with my mailbox key, the pool key, the key-card to my gym, and my grocery-store discount fobs. Car keys aways go separate from the other keys. I started keeping them separate because I'm very tall, and I got tired of my keys hitting me in the knee when I was driving.

I also have the house key on its own jump ring so I can take just my key when I'm on a long ride, and not my entire wad of keys/fobs.
