You can check https://www.planobicycle.org/pba/ and https://www.planobicycle.org/pba/ for the group rides. I'm not sure what happens during the week, it's the nocturnal thing again.

ravenmore, I know the PBA has a good number of rides during the week. Not sure what my plans are for next week, but depending on where in Dallas you are I might be up for a ride. Too bad you wont' be around for Saturday, I'm headed out to Bonham on the 27th.

I need to look up the address of the class manana - will book a hotel near it. I'd like to find at least one ride with a challenging pace, but hey a leisurely paced ride would be nice too.
I also lived in Dallas for 10 years so I imagine I'll have to work in a few dinners/beers with old friends.

You're probably a little too fast for me, but all these bike shops have rides.

oh c'mon now - I"m not all that fast and I certainly don't mind adjusting the pace to meet some bf folks.
Jsharr - you up for a ride?

Ravenmore, see the N. Dallas Meet & Greet thread, ride pace will certainly be liesurely, but I'll probably be up for some more miles afterwards if there is still daylight to be had.

The PBA Popsicle ride is pretty challenging. They meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays
in front of the Tom Thumb at the corner or Alma and Renner in Richardson. They
go about 50 miles, average about 18 or 19mph. Some people in our club call it a hammerfest.
https://www.planobicycle.org/pba/ there are a few other weekday rides that arent so tough on the site.

I'm up for a ride!
If you want the group ride thang...hit up the popshiggle. Last night we had one cat1, four cat2s, some 3s and 4s etc... It was loaded due to the lack of the Tuesday Night crit series. Not sure it will stay loaded or not. That's the strongest group I've seen all year on that ride. They did however shorten the route down to 28 miles ::boo - hiss::

Irving. Suxxor. I know there are rides there, but have never done any of them. Well you could always do laps at White Rock and check out the hunnies.

Heh - I won't drop you. I can't think of a better reason to keep it light and breezy than to hang out with the (in)famous Jsharr.

I lived in Big D for 10 years and did a few laps around White Rock. It has the same problem the Veloway here has - joggers, walkers, baby strollers - blech.

I'm afraid the tandem ain't that fast. If you were about half the size you are, I'd say stoke up and lets go tear up those 1 ,2s, and 3s racer wannabes
I've always wondered what it would be like to tandem with another strong male.

We've got a cyclist here in Austin who lost his sight, so now he rides tandems as a stoker. He's supposed to be strong as hell. I've never piloted for him but some of my good friends have. Last year he won several of the Tuesday nighters down south.

Aight I'm here. The class is in Las Colinas off of 114. I purposely got a hotel in Addison to be more 'centrally located' to rides and friends. I did mondo miles yesterday so I'll probably take tonight off the bike. Will be ready for action tomorrow. Oh, forgot my flat kit though of all things. I have a tube but that's it.

Custer & Renner, not Alma
If you've only got a tube, be sure to yell the secret word "mechanical" clearly enough that at least one someone stops to lend a hand.
