I have a garage full of vintage road bikes that I rotate so that no-one's feelings get hurt.

This morning (annual New Years Day ride) was a 1974 Schwinn Speedster. It was mine since I was a kid and it still knows where I want to go.

On the weekends, group rides, and organized rides, I ride my 2001 Litespeed Tuscany, full Ultegra and Look pedals.

Bikes: Litespeed Classic, C-Dale MT1000, 80's Trek 770, 2005 Raleigh Rush Hour Pro, Fixed

I ride my late 80's vintage Trek 770 converted to fixed-gear as my commuter. Great fun and good for the spin. On the weekends and evening training rides I ride my Litespeed Classic, with full Ultegra 9-speed, Speedplay pedals, and Mavic Ksyrium wheelset. I also ride a Cannondale mountain bike when the need arises and a Cannondale MT1000 tandem when my wife is in the mood for a fun ride.

Hmmm?? Maybe I have too many bikes or is that really possible?

The number and types of bike I own keeps changing, but at the moment:

* '01 Schwinn Fastback Factory w/Ultegra and Mavic Ksyriums (or Velomax Circuit Comps, when I'm in the mood)
* '97? Gary Fischer Aquila w/ Manitou SX-E fork and a random mish-mash of parts that is in the process of much needed upgrading
* two '70s-ish Schwinn Varsity 10-speeds that aren't very pretty, but make great winter bikes
* fixed-gear made from a random assortment of parts that I found lying around

These don't really count, but they're worth mentioning:

* old Huffy from when I was a kid, that fits perfectly in the trunk of my car for when I drive to school and have to park a mile away (in the interest of saving my knees, I made the addition of an 18 inch seatpost, so I look really stupid riding it)
* old 'chopper' bike - perfectly impractical, but still lots of fun

The next addition will probably be a Salsa La Cruz cyclocross frame. I finally have the money, now I just need to find a way to justify spending it.

Bikes: '76 Schwinn Paramout (Liberty) and an '89 Paramount (ol' Blue)

Almost all of my riding is done on my full Ultegra equipped Schwinn Paramount. For the winter, the Fuji Roubaix is mounted on my trainer. My Fuji Sagres is parked in the garage, and will soon be joined by a Schwinn Le Tour and a Nishiki Japanese bike with a really beautiful steel lugged frame that I just picked up at a garage sale today! What a nice way to start the new year, adding to my stable!

Primary commuter - 2000 Giant Cypress hybrid upgraded to road/'cross setup with 9-speed 105 group.

Secondary commuter/weekend sporter - Late 80's Bianchi Brava upgraded to 9-speed Dura Ace shifters/ders.

New just assembled, as yet unridden Tange Ultimate Prestige steel frame, brand unknown. Set up as single speed for the time being to confirm frame fit. Future as yet undetermined. Fixed gear?

In the wings (or rafters) - Early 80s Schwinn Voyageur touring bike awaiting overhaul.

Ohhh... I'm supposed to list my other bikes as well!

Okay... in addition to the Marinoni, there's a 1997 Specialized S-Works M2 MTB [XTR, Manitou SX-Ti fork] and a 1992 Specialized Rockhopper Sport. The latter is set-up with 1.25" slicks and I use it as my city bike.

[Yes... confession time... I was a dirtbag in a previous life...]
