Cool Weather - Pants Advice
Cooler weather is just around the corner. 52 degrees for the start of my ride tomorrow. I have the bike jacket, but could not find pants/tights. I am 6'4". Any recommendations especially in the area of picking a size? Do I need to go with XXL even though the middle is not that big?

Certain models of the Nashbar house brand tights come in tall sizes.
Near as I can tell, their mediums should be good for 36" inseam or more with stretching. Far too much for my 34".

Don't know about sizing but Bibs tights or normal?
I am in two thoughts. If I am just out riding and it will stay cool- I go for the bibs. They stay in place- don't slip down and Stomach size does not matter. However if it does look as though it would warm up, or if they will be coming off for some reason- Then I would opt for conventional pants.
And I always wear Bib shorts underneath- so get my tights without any padding in them.

Great selection of knee warmers, leg warmers, arm warmers, tights, and knickers.
Everything is true to size.

I have some bright green socks that come up almost to my knee. Warm and highly visible.

I have 3 pairs of arm warmers (yellow for visibility) I bought in the fall of 2003. The Voler logo is wearing off 2 pairs and the seam is coming unraveled on one pair.
I have a fluorescent yellow jersey I bought in 2003. I wear it all the time and still looks great. Just a little faded from so many hours in the sun.
I always thought their prices were very good compared to other online retailers.
I'm very happy with their products.

I'm sure they are very good products for those who can afford them. I guess the price comparison depends on which stores you compare. $75 bibs just aren't within my scope and so I don't shop for them. I have had very good results with shorts and bibs in the $40 - $50 range. Some would find that too much to pay.

My faves are Pearl Izumi Tokyo Tights. They're actually relatively loose--and incredibly comfortable.

These work well for me. Slightly relaxed fit. No pad which is great for recumbents or you could wear padded shorts under them.
