A dream

Aside from a bike I'd like to have.. which isn't a dream, just something I'm putting off..

I ride past it everyday.. and it calls to me... I can picture how I'd fix it up.. I have it all planned out. Just 9 years too soon, and about 7.6 million dollars short.

What the hell am I talking about: The old wonderbread factory in downtown San Diego. I'd buy it, turn it into a coffeeshop/winebar/crash pad and live in back. Right accross from the stadium, big roll up doors.. Red brick.

What'd you do if you had decent money?

build a revolution to destroy capitalism.

it would be beautiful in it's nihilistic, destructive irony. and that's probably the reason that it would fail. [if an excess of money was the only reason for it's forced demise]

please make it a co-operative if that idea ever becomes any more than that.

we've got enough coffeeshops and winebars in the world that screw their workers [at all ends of the ssupply chain]

You rock, sparky! First it's smash capitalism, then f-k objectification of women.

Nice to read it, at least.

I'm unfamiliar with the co-op idea. At this point, I'm not looking to get rich of the backs of others. I'd be hiring personality, and thinkers..

Just a place that's mine, and I could put my feet up in.. close early when I want.. stay open late.

it wouldn't be the conventional wine bar.. nothing high priced... just a place to kick back, put your feet up.. I'm not good with snobs. Hell, I'm not good with most..

The upper portion would be a live/work loft for local artist. We'd sell them (non consignment, all towards the artist) in the shop it self.

So, yeah. Rent'd be cheap too.

All I ask is that people don't try to use the unbuilt frames and forks as pipes.

Would an aluminum frame converted into a crack pipe have a sudden failure and spill my hard-earned rock?

not if you allow it time to cure between each time you spark up...

that's the great advantage of a steel one. i haven't tried titanium yet though.

although if anyone has... 3/2.5 or 6/4? are either of them better than steel? what about corrosion resistance?

I understand that the Ti based crack pipes are impervious to flame blueing. So much better looking after an all night session. The aluminum ones melt in your mouth, not on your hands. But the steel makes it all seem real.
