It's so unfair
Okay, riding weather this year has sucked big time, now this week it's warm, it's sunny, could do some really good riding, and I goth a stubid code. Next week I am on vacation, and it's supposed to be cold and wet all week. I've given up for this year....

So now I'll be hanging out at home with a bad back during some of the most miraculously perfect temps and weather here in Texas, while she and my best friend will be riding off without me.
Maybe the Doc will heal me instantly tomorrow.
Blargh.

My suggestion: Even when you feel crappy, get out and do something. If you ride half as far or half as fast, it'll still be better than sitting completely idle for a wheel.

Not safe for work
Sooo... I shouldn't mention I had a fun afternoon yesterday riding from the Beltline, through Mount Pleasant Cemetery, down to Lakeshore Blvd heading east to the Beaches? Then back home through U of T? And that it was a crisp, sunny day?
And I'm heading to Humber Bay Park East today?
I hope you get over your cold!

My wife hates it when it is cold, raining and/or dark but once she gets on the bike and off our street she is happy she got out of the house.
Try it you might actually enjoy it sometimes it puts a whole new dimension on the same ride you have done a dozen or more times in nice weather. I personally am just insane I like riding in really bad weather because it is something different. I really miss the northeast and having to wear my snowgoggles in the sleet or my base layer pouring out steam when I pull off my raincoat at the end of the ride.
That sounds like a soap opera plot to me

I'm feeling your pain...My wife is taking a couple days of vacation (Turs and Fri) and we'd planned on hitting some trails.
So now I'll be hanging out at home with a bad back during some of the most miraculously perfect temps and weather here in Texas, while she and my best friend will be riding off without me.
