Hi mang boy,

i want to ask you about those self-inflating /valves tires on some of the surplus bikes. Do they work well and do they need parts/repairs often ? Are they trouble free ?

Thanks and best regards

I saw one once at my brother's place. The inflating hub is heavy and so far never seen one disassembled or repaired.

Fuzzy Eye Reflector

So far I've collected assorted types and models of bicycle reflectors, this time I came across a new one. It's a Fuzzy Eye reflector, just like a Cat Eye reflector.

Shimano Anti-Swing Unit - Very useful for a commuter bicycle with installed front basket.
Prevents swinging of the front wheel when basket is loaded.

Bridgestone Travzone

As of today.

Travzone folded

I'm still sourcing for a Quick Release headpost to align handlebar when folded.

The other day stainless baskets arrived at my brother's place. I was able to pick one and installed it on my Bridgestone Angelino (Mamachari). This rear stainless basket is rare. Most rear baskets are in plastic.

Last night we had a night ride at Star City and Lola Ely. Due to christmas season heavy traffic on all routes was expected. Christmas light displays were visible due to slow movement of traffic.

Just got this Miyata Zigzag from a friend. The bike needs a restoration. The 2nd bicycle scheduled starting the year 2011. The bicycle needs new stainless spokes, tires, chroming of the carrier & chain cover, buffing of the stainless rims & fenders, and a new paint.

Yesterday, this bicycle caught my attention. It's a size 20 single speed with stainless steel fenders and rims. Seldom you see this setup in this size and the frame design is very unique. I ended up buying the unit and would add up for the 2011 restoration.

Tibimac - Mini Velo

New painting is needed.

Finally got the white side tires for my mini velo. Will be mounting the tires later this day. The tire brand is Innova size 20 x 1 3/8. This size was available during the 90's but nowadays seldom you see white sided on this particular size. I had to swap my tires for this particular brand and happy finding this one. I'll be posting the bicycle once I had it installed. Here's the bicycle that will be receiving it. My blue HW.

My Blue HW with white side Innova tires installed. Additional reflector was also added under the seat. The only accessory needed now are stainless steel rims, which I am sure would take time to find.

Yesterday, my brother brought home a variety of carriers and stands and luckily I found a chromed stand size 16 for my Miyata Zigzag and chromed carriers size 20 for my Tibimac. I'll be polishing the items by tomorrow and hopefully post images of the items later.
