Velocity hubs

I just got some Velocity Fusion wheels and I cant believe how loud the hubs are ratcheting. Is that normal or do I have a bad one, thanks.

mine have been quiet. but if they are louder then a Chris king hub then I would worry. some grease would take care of most of the noise.

A drop of oil in the pawls can quiet it down. I notice different cassettes can amplify the sound differently too.

I have a new set of Deep Vs that are on Velocity hubs. I just had the rear hub replaced because of the same thing. The new one are a lot quieter but I'm used to my old Neuvations- which were stealth quiet. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with your hub. If you've ever ridden on Mavic Ksyriums, you'll notice they sound the same.

Thanks for the reply. I did call Velocity and they said that's the way they are. They sure are nice wheels.
