Maybe I'm in the wrong section, but I couldn't see how to post a message in the C&V Sales section for a WTB request.

That one's gorgeous. Looks like I'll have to give up on the bike search for my friend, he's gone all non-committal on me, can't make a decision after prompting me to find him a bike. I found him a beauty 80 miles away that he can pick up for $125, road ready with very good paint, a '78 Super Gran Prix, now he's all "I'm not sure." People....
Thanks, oddjob2 for helping.

Correct answer, but the original question was what does it look like. I bring this up because the vernier markings on the inch side of my cheapo caliper read in 1/128ths of an inch. The reason for this is that inch units are traditionally divided by 2, as in half inch, quarter inch, etc., and 128 is a power of 2. So 1.06 is a bit under 1-1/16".
Metric units are so much easier!

Unit conversion is a can of worms, especially when you're going from decimal to fractional. Appreciate it if you do have a longish 27.0 mm seatpost.
Update to the bar end shifters, they are the SL-BS50 8 speed compatible with ultegra and 105, but not 8 speed Dura Ace

ISO more of the original Sampson Stratics pedals. While the cleats are a royal pain when not on a bike they seem to be a decent solution to my 2+ yr old nerve problem in my right foot.
They look like this:

Not that C&V'ers never use electronics. But, you might have a better chance posting in the electronics forum or one of the other more general classifieds.

Have: Campy NR brake calipers, normal reach.
Looking for: same, short reach.
Ideally, I'd just like to swap both arms of one caliper (correct me if I'm wrong in assuming that the normal/short reach difference is just in the arms and nothing else). Maybe someone has an incomplete caliper lying around (I do).
Swapping one complete brake (front) or a set of two (front plus rear) would be OK too. My complete set is nutted, with domed QR, 78-ish.

Looking for a 25.4mm one piece seatpost, silver, almost anything will do as long as it's vintage looking. I want to replace the two piece post/clamp setup on my Raleigh Grand Prix. I don't mind having to do some cleanup and polishing.
Have to trade:
1990 Campagnola Athena FD, braze on mount.
1990 Campagnolo Athena headset, missing the fork race. British threading I think, it came off a Merckx Corsa Extra.
Edit: Found a seatpost locally- no longer needed.

There's currently a couple of real Raleigh cranks on eBay for not a lot. I'd send you my Thai crank for the cost of shipping, but I don't think that'd be doing you any favors, given your experience.

Cottered bottom bracket spindles vary somewhat in diameter and length depending on manufacturer. If you have a Raleigh bottom bracket, it's safest to go for a Raleigh crank, unless you have the opportunity to test the fit before you commit.
