Looking for a 22 or 24" Schwinn Varsity, frame/fork or complete bike, preferably yellow but blue, red, and green are all good. Must be in good condition, but will repaint if necessary. Gonna try to build one up or make a singlespeed out of it.

Also, maybe too much to hope for but I'm also hoping to buy a decent Italian made steel frame from the 80s or early 90's.....Bianchi, etc. 52 to 55cm frame. Again something to build up over time. I'm a Super Clyde though, something to keep in mind if you have something to offer.

Sorry, nothing to offer r sell at this time. I'm just getting started out on the great bicycling adventure

Just shoot me a PM. Thanks!

These are not mine (and not cheap) but I'd be happy to pick 'em up and drop them in the mail if you're interested.

I've posted this before, but I thought I would give it a try.

An old style Raleigh barrel adjuster. Sorry for the poor quality picture, taken for a different purpose.

Or at least a place to look for one. This seems to be for cables only.

Maybe this is the wrong place to ask. I am looking for a pair of Shimano 7 speed brifters. They seem to be pricey when I find them, so I am just seeing what else is out there.

Get a Huret Alivit with the small variant of its barrel adjuster. It'll be a perfect fit.

Another barrel adjuster that I discovered fits are the ones that are on certain Simplex downtube shifters. PM me, Dave, and I'll look in my parts stash for one.

I have tried the Simplex one's - the cheap ones. They are close, but they are shorter. And just as robust.

I will look for the Huret Alivit though.

Also now looking for a Suntour Cyclone (first gen.) front derailleur since I just stripped the threads used to secure the cable in place on the one I was going to use on my touring bike build. And maybe a first gen. Cyclone GT RD, as well. Mine isn't behaving...

I have an NOS Suntour Cyclone front derailer with built in cable stop, date code 'TC'. At vintage-trek.com, this deciphers to March 1977. It is for double front chainrings.

PM me.

PS--early on, I too stripped front derailer clamp and cable fixing threads by making similar mistakes. Don't feel bad. Live and learn.

I'm looking for a good fork for a '74 Raleigh Sports, about 7" steerer tube. I'm refurbishing the bike that belonged to my wife's Dad and found that the steerer tube is bent. Brown would be great, but I can repaint if necessary.

Walt,

I may be able to help you out; I have a Raleigh Sport frame set in my garage in the correct brown color.
I'll need to measure the steer tube length today.

Do you have anything to trade?

I'm looking for a couple vintage bottle cages to mount on my other Sports and Grand Prix, other vintage parts for Raleighs, Shimano 600 Ex components such as front and rear brake calipers, pedals, hoods.

Gary

Two sets on eBay right now. I'm bidding on both, but someone obviously wants them more at this time....

ISO/WTB: 54-56cm vintage track frame. Builder/country of origin doesn't matter. Just needs to be made out of decent tubing.

Have: $$$, not much else.
