Cyclist in Toronto who lost leg due to altercation with Cabbie

Original story:
https://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2...4/7412486.html
And the present situation:
https://www.bikingtoronto.com/2008/11...peaks-out.html
Y'all read it; and give your take.
I'll say this: Cabbie's are the worst vehicle drivers to deal with imho: Always in a hurry; always disregarding traffic laws (signals/speed limits/right of way for instance).

Bus drivers are really bad here (or were 5-6 years ago when I was commuting) - we don't have enough cabbies to be a big problem.

Leave it to the news. Follow up with a big production about the gruesome personal tragedy, complete with stub-leg photo, as if the cabbie never existed, vanished into thin air, and is of no further consequence.

Actually: If you had checked the story-links in the cycling Toronto blog; the Cabbie is named in the Globe and Mail article that came out this week.
C'mon Man. Before generating a negative comment: Check to make sure you are going to be accurate.

That Globe article is miles ahead in its quality of reporting. Whoever put up the blog post should take some cues from them before putting out the rubbish reporting that was referenced here (which really is little more then a sensationalized page of links).

I agree with you on that one. A Toronto cabbie once almost ran me down at an intersection when he was trying to make a right on a red light while I was proceeding on a green

Do you think Sultan Ahmed will go to jail? If so, for how long?
