New '09 Kona Kula Supreme, just over 3 lbs., $450 buy it now, bids start at $300.

For your top of $800, there's a lot of choices for a hardtail. If it were me, I would not buy a carbon fiber off Ebay. Probably not a CF at all for fear of breaking the friggin' thing. But that's just me. Now, Titanium would be a different story...................

look at Salsa Cycles - their scandium hardtails are strong, light, & durable - AND within your price range

First you grab a cup of coffee. tea or soda.
Second put on some great sounds.
Third go here and read a whole bunch of actual reviews on mountain bikes, https://www.mtbr.com/.

This is a GREAT resource that people seem to forget about or have never been there.
Do you want hear say on a good deal or do you want to hear from people who are actually riding the gear your looking at????
