I don't know anyone, but I'll be at the 3/4 race (8:30) and assuming I don't get crashed out (bad joke this time of year for these races, I know), I'll stick around for the clinic. I currently have a big fat doughnut's worth of upgrade points and I'm under the impression that they give you a free one for letting them teach you something about racing.

I'll be there. Talked to my boss and he's letting me go do the race. Won't be able to do the skills clinic unfortunately. I'm comfortable in a pack so hopefully all will be good. I'll be wearing hella Capo Forma stuff and a white/black Tarmac.

Pass (again). Gaining karma by helping a dear friend pack and move. Next weekend, if I'm not working.

The girls and I are riding over from Menlo Park to do the Advanced Clinic and then heading back via San Jose for a good, solid day! Say hello if you see us (in pink, hard to miss us).

Do you have to be there at 8? The over 35 Cat 5 doesn't start until 2:30 and it would be tough for me to hang out all day. (It does say reg. closes 15 min prior to each race)

Didn't catch any of you today. I was in the tan and black jacket watching the 1/2/3/Pro race. Freddy Rodriguez edged out the #2 guy in the sprint. I watched most of it from the start/finish line. The guy has a radar gun, and several of the first laps were over 30 mph. The second lap you guys came around at 32 mph. Most of the laps seemed to be around 3 minutes. I understand from our Race Team members that those are pretty good lap times.

Nice meeting up with a few of you today. Fast Freddy was very impressive and the weather was very nice too.
The highlight for me was the wolfdog guarding the yellow ranger pickup near the crappers. It was huge and when I went near it let out a snarl that made the hairs on the back of my kneck stand on end. Spooky yellow eyes too.
Its difficult to capture just how big this pooch was but you can clearly see his wolfy eyes in this picture.

The 35+ Cat 5 was a pretty fast race. I was in the first group. I was with the pack until lap 6 then part of my pedal broke (Performance house brand). I then went way off the back. I will be back next week to give it another go.

Yeah, it was fast but a lot of fun (my Garmin reported an average speed of 24.8mph). I was in the second group (odd numbers) and it was a clean race.

I was in the second group as well, went off the back when I looked up to see the guy in front of me was gapped and I couldn't make it back up, met up with BlastRadius who slid on back to me, and we picked up 4 more riders to work back toward the peleton. We never caught back on, but at least the other group never caught us. I should have stayed toward the front like last week. Oh well, it still was great fun. I saw that dog, I thought is was a mix of austrailian shepherd and MOOSE. Now seeing those pictures it looks wolfy.
This is why they call him Fast Freddy, He's a blur:
