Raleigh 20 Ready for Travel

Some time ago I posted some pictures of my rebuilt R20. It is a beauty and I have enjoyed riding around town, running errands, and all the rest of the things you do on a folder.

The real reason I bought this bike was to travel. And now it is about to begin. I just stuffed all the bits into a Samsonite suitcase that I found in my garage. It is not the "Oyster" that I had heard is the one to use. It is labeled as a "Trio" and it seems to fit the bike just fine and I am sure it fits the airlines size requirements.

So as soon as I get my skiing completed (and it is really good now in Colorado) I am headed off, probably first to Wales. Here is a picture.

Great! This gives me hope that my old detatchable is going to fit in a suitcase also. I was thinking that maybe I had to make some changes to the rear triangle to do so, but maybe not!

In inches, it is about 28 3/4 wide, 21 3/4 high, inside dimensions. The depth is about 9 in. You just have to love these 20's.
