Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I've been fighting the urge to order a pair all week. I also keep talking myself out of some Ergo 2s, but i'll eventually give in.

Went to the LBS Tuesday and it followed me home-

Just a beater to save the others. Not set up and straight out of the LBS. 9 speed Ultegra- Giant FCR1
but with a few changes- and it was brand new and cheap.

There are a lot of beautiful bikes in the world, but that Independent Fab is exceptional!

Latest purchases: some generic fixie wheels on cl, some Michelin Krylions from PBK, and finally after years of wanting one, a really lightweight wind jacket I can stuff in my jersey.
