Is it ok to tell a cycling friend that their wife is hot?

I've already talked to my sister about this and she says no but what does she know. I'd like to get a final opinion from other guys.

Some of the bike racers I know have hot wives and I'm wondering if it's ok to tell them. I'm not married, hell I don't even have a girlfriend so I'm totally clueless. I'm thinking I'd say "Man, your wife is hot" and nothing more.

For the admin: This thread has everything to do with bike racing because most bike racers have hot wives/girlfriends and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with this question.

"Your wife is Hot" = bad choice of words. Looks like you will have lots less friends.

"You are a lucky man" = you will probably still have friends after saying this.

"How were you so fortunate to find such a hottie and does she have any single friends?" = A little juvenile, but your friend now knows you are not after his wife, knows that you think his wife is hot, and has no reason to think you will try to 'adjust her chamois' when he is away on the business trip.

(to wife) "you are hot. I don't know why your husband doesn't take better care of you." Only outside of husband's presence. You are likely to end up lying in a bloody pulp in a ditch somewhere after being run off the road by a 'black van with tinted windows' and beaten senseless, but hey, at least you told her (and her husband) that she is hot.

WTF are you thinking? Keep that $#!& to yourself unless asked.

Some friends asked me what I was looking for in a woman...I said I would be extatic if I could find some one like your wife.

Appropriate ways to say it:

"You are one lucky guy"
"Does she have any sisters?"
"How did you get a woman out of your league?"

Meh, I wouldn't mind if you said that depending on how big of a threat I thought you were. But be prepared as I would wing something back like, "Yeah, but if you ever go near her I'll slit your throat." I would probably only tell a REALLY good friend that his wife was hot though.

But that's just me.

You: "your wife is hot"
him: Stares
You: "No man I mean really hot"
him: Stares
You: "I mean not that I want to do her or anything"
him: stares
You: "I'd do her sister though. does she have a sister?'
him: stares
You: "Well, actually I'd do her if she wasn't like...your wife."
You: "Unless your cool with that?

You're not serious with this question. Are you serious? Really? Why bring it up? Whats the compulsion? You would sound like you were severely socially ******** if you asked anybody this. Worse, you might sound like an avid BMX rider.

That's funny because I actually did do bmx for a while. I think my poor social skills from bmx riding might be transferring over to cycling...yikes.

I guess it's only ok with a really good friend. I just thought some guys might be proud of having a good looking wife.

Hey, I'd like to have sex with your wife! Would you mind, you know, having some big fight and then leaving for a month or so?

I just remembered this scene from Office Space. Peter goes to the barbeque with his girlfriend and Drew is like "whoa the chochskis girl, i wonder whos she's with?" and Peter replies: "She with me" with a big smile on his face. I probably got it from that scene.

People tell me all the time I have a hot wife. That's fine. I take it as a compliment to me and her. But if I ever thought they wanted to advance I would hurt them really, really, really badly.
