You make a point. When I started at 567 I was ready to drop the cancer sticks but the docs told me (wisely) not to. In retrospect it was great that I didn't, it gave me "something" to focus on besides hunger, and obsession with food/beer/etc. Took me a year to drop them, but it's a good thing now that they're gone.
Don't overwhelm yourself, one step at a time they say. But do ditch 'em, I don't know which feels better - not smoking or not being int he 400's/500's.

Wow, you bring a whole new meaning to the clydesdale forum. Good luck in your quest.
Still marveling at that number...I once tried to squat 660 (300kg) and am pretty sure I lost an inch on my height due to spine compression...
Good luck!

if that's that audition tape you're sending to the show, you might want to talk about how you got where you are.
At any rate, TBL is the only show I actively dvr and watch. Love the show, love the stories, love the inspiration. Best of luck, and even if you don't get on the show, get some help! Don't let the show be your barrier---

Superdex, it will never be a barrier, but I understand your meaning.. That was just a short video to get people to sign. I actually go for the interview saturday, so hopefully that goes well. It is a great show though, its just great seeing that kind of life transformation right in front of your eyes...

Historian, you've made your point brotha man... I dont want to argue something silly on the web, even though in this day and age - that is is apparently half the internets purpose. There is no point...

I don't have any specific recomendations on a bike brand, however a few of Clydes that wanted to start riding got trikes. There is quite a variety of trikes out there. I would imaging that you'd need a model that would be easy to get on and off (definitely NOT one close to the road). Some also have extra wide seats. Some of these bikes are not light weight, but they should should be able to accomodate you in comfort.
Happy riding,
André

Hi! Good Luck. I read your blog... it's interesting that you assume at some point you would just have surgery and your problem solved. The only way to ever lose weight and maintain the loss is exercise and eating less and learning to focus on getting yourself healthy. The Biggest Loser is a good start, but even those people struggle.
Just know there is no quick and easy way to lose weight. All of us on C & A struggle and many have awesome inspiring stories. Maybe someday surgery is in your future, and it has worked for some ( but as many go back to old habits and gain weight). The sucessful surgery patients will tell you its a life changing process - one where heathy eating is the focus and exercise is the key.
Best wishes...

Pamestique, its not that i figured I could always "just" do it, but more or less if I couldnt do it on my own.. and I absolutely had to... I thought that option might be there. However, as you read its not..
You are completely correct, I did a lot of research on it and it by far is no magic bullet : )

I thought of surgery myself... but their experience made it clear for me that good ole fashion good eating and exercise works better. Just get moving... if nothing else move!
Good luck!
