Hopping back on and getting ready to cyclommute.
I live in Seattle and I'm thinking of ditching the car and commute by bike full time. It's only 16 miles round-trip but I think I find the winter commuting a little intimidating. I'm not new to riding but I've been out of it for a good 10+ years. Anyway, I've been reading the forums for a little over a week now and figure it was time to say "hi." There's a lot of good information on here and people seem to be pretty helpful with questions.

Way to go! Have you still got your bike from 10 yrs ago, or are you shopping for a new one? I your area the selection of rain gear and fenders is more important than what type of bike.

Thanks for the welcome!
I don't still have my old bike (Specialized Rockhopper) so I'm looking for a new/used bike. My budget is a little low (I'm still in negotiations with the CEO) so I'm taking my time but it's going to be a challenge. I'm thinking a hybrid/performance hybrid but I'd love to find a good used road bike.
