Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Hahhahaha. There's still a huge skid mark in the carpet from another night. But leave it to me to run into the one outwardly hinged door in the hall.

^^ I try to avoid trackstanding on long red light for this reason. I'm not a master at it yet so I'm always afraid of this happening.

Fortunately hasn't happened yet

yeah, I don't see why Sheldon has beef with it. I've been doing it since I was like 9. Although it is a bit tricky with a fixed gear.

Haha nice! For some reason our carpets don't mark up, but i was visiting a friend at Boston University over spring break and skidded her whole tile dorm hallway, one of the best feelings ever until i looked behind me and saw that i ruined the floor.

Is there a reason this picture keeps on vanishing? It can't just be me.
