I could have used that a month or two ago!

Very good article with some good points.

I ride the rollers 4-5 times a week but I have never thought about getting on and off in the middle of a ride to take a breather like you would when weight training. I always just spin between intervals like I would on the road. I might have to give this new idea a try and see what happens. I think it could help alleviate some of the boredom by looking at smallers sets of riding. I figure I can get off and stretch my legs out before the next set and maybe throw in a set of abs while I'm at it.

Yes, getting off the bike sometimes like in a weight workout helps a bit. The group I train with indoors consists of trackies, like the article mentions, so we're used to resting inbetween intervals like at the track.
