Surly Singleator drivetrain noise...
I recently converted my mtb to singlespeed. I just notice a bit of noise in the drivetrain. When I take the singleator out of the picture, the noise is gone. Its not excessive, and everything runs smooth. I haven't dropped a chain. I'm just wondering if this is normal. I've made every adjustment I can think of and its still there.

I have a singleator and don't have any extra noise. Is chainline OK?

Check your chain size and the direction of the chain guide plates. If using 1/8, the guide plates have to face inside. If 3/32, they face outside.
