Murphy's Law...
Beautiful morning yesterday. Pulled the bikes out and cleaned them up. Went to work for the afternoon and evening. Today Snow...........

I don't know if anyone has heard of Murphy's law of cyclists and joggers. If there are 2 cars on a road, they will be going the correct speed to pass each other at the location a cyclist or jogger.

Serves you right for causing so much anguish when we are not prepared for it. I presume it was you that put the thorn through my tube last week when I had put the wrong pump on the bike that struggles to get to 60psi after 20 minutes use. I presume it was you that made me grab hold of the bike I had just cleaned with Dirty hands- and I still hate those white bits on the bike that show every bit of grease. And I presume it was you that made me drink just a bit too much of my 25 year old Cognac last night- Not that it bothered me but I did feel the effects of it when I met a roadie on the ride this morning who wanted to ask me so many questions about my bike and the brain just did not want to work.

If you get a flat tire on a loop ride, it will occur at a point where each direction home is of equal distance.
You never see the dog that bit you.
The amount of broken glass on the road is inversely proportional to the number of CO2 cartridges you are carrying.
It was ALWAYS a good day to ride....yesterday.
The rip in the seat of your shorts will get larger if there is someone riding on your rear wheel.
When you tighten your handlebar bolt it will still be loose until you tighten it just enough to break it.
Invariably, the next store that sells pie will be closed as well.
Gore-Tex rain gear left in your closet is a excellent forecaster of rain in the next 20 minutes.

On a ride at 15 mph, at 15 miles to go you will be done in an hour.
As the wind comes up your speed drops to 13, and at 13 miles you will be done in a hour.
As the wind blows harder your speed drops to 10, and at 10 miles to go, you will be done in a hour.
When you hit the hill with a headwind and your speed drops to 8, and you've got 8 miles to go, you will be done in a hour.

They were working on a de-acceleration meter for the rocket sleds at Edward's at the time, and the mistake with the wires made the testing device useless.
