first time on fixed gear please help~!!!
I just bought used specialized langster comp
it comes with freewheel and fixed gear
thing is if I changed to fixed, howcome it's super hard to stop the wheel??
If I put my weight on the crank so I can stop body whole body get lifted, because of pedal's momentum.
nothing like video clip I saw, I cant skid anything like that. it take likes 10 sec for me to stop the bike why is that??
is there anything I have to change?? please help thank you

Skidding is for Skidiots. There's absolutely no need to "skid" on a track. If you're not on a track (but this *is* the Track forum) then fit a brake......or better still, brakes.

be careful dude, I got nothin against kids learnin to ride fixed but dont jump into traffic or big hills right away without brakes or you'll just be another statistic
