My Pinarello back in 1985:

I've always been a sucker for that fade paint job!

I got mine from the same shop that supplied his: Denver Spoke.
I should have never sold that bike. I tried to buy it back, but the guy I sold it to sold it to someone in LA and never did know the guys name. So it's gone for good, I think. Oh well, the Basso will be a great replacement!

Wow, you could afford a Pinarello back in '85??

All I could afford in 1982 was a Sears 'Free Spirit' (real 10-speed).

Think I paid $150 for it, new. Took my whole paycheck and made me broke, but I was happy.

Nice Basso btw. Love the color scheme.

That's better than I could do in '82...I wasn't even conceived yet.

I LOVE the paint scheme on both! Red, white, and blue, with chrome headtube lugs? Absolutely hedonistic!

Bikes: One brand-less build-up, and a Connondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra Disc. A nicer bike than I need, but it was a good deal, so... ;-)

Basso called that paint scheme: "Americana"
My old Pinarello was the "Arco LA84" paint scheme. Had slightly aero down tube and seat tube.

I'm 90+% sure. All the Loto's that I've seen have a different seatpost binder bolt setup.

I tried to buy mine back, too, but it's hanging on a collector's wall in Chicago. I console myself by admitting that he won't ride it, so he won't wreck it. I'm sure I'd have fallen over a couple of times by now.

Killer Basso.

Beautiful bike and I very much like that paint scheme. It has all of the flash of Technicolor cycling. There was a Look that was recently posted here that was similar and here is my Tommaso.
