Any benefit to Dahon touring rack?

I have a rack from my 700c tourer that fits (it's the type with the adjustable arms). Is there any inherant benefit to the Dahon rack?

Well, if it fits and has no heel strike issues, I bet your rack will work just fine. The dahon rack is mostly designed to avoid heel strike.
