Never Mind......

Well... To my disappointment, I filled out everything, APO box and all to see the final cost with shipping, 75.00 dollar shipping charge..

this just crushed my dreams lol.
I was all ecstatic, Pricepoint is having major sells on everything up to the 30th of april. Some of the tools were 54% off....
and now...
I get nothing -_-

BUT anyway, Was I on the right track on what tools and stuff I was getting?
I took some of the advice I was given from the other thread and went through and picked out better quality tools, and left out everything I didn't need like sockets, wrenches, allen keys, hex sockets, hammer, rubber mallet, etc.

your little tool box would've had the same problem in terms of shipping. that's why I suggested the LBS

LBS has parts and Bikes.

Why would he sell tools? Then people wouldn't come and see him, cause they'd have the tools to do the jobs themselves?

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but if not, that sucks. All of my LBS's sell tools, and several of them also give classes on bike repair.

+1 Any bike shop sells tools. They may not have them in stock, but they can be ordered. In the USA anyway, I don't know about where you are.
BTW, since you asked, those cable cutters suck. You get what you pay for with tools. Good cutters are $30-$60.
Good luck.

the guys at my lbs comment that they make a fortune selling tools to tools who use 'em and break 'em. ... or damage their bikes (thus having to bring it into the shop). What kind of lbs doesn't sell tools? Not much of a bike shop.

He's in Germany guys.

Cheeto, why aren't you looking at buying from a European website? Maybe the shipping wouldn't be $75 then?

I really appreciate that Rankin, It actually didn't cross my mind to order off of a Euro site, because of the currency difference.
The only hitch i see, is do they ship it to an APO box?

But I am looking and bookmarking those sites.

Thanks a bunch!
