BMC Fourstroke
Ive got a 2005 Trek Top Fuel Chris Eatough edition. With that said, its just that. A 2005.
It rides good but id like to have a little project job and Id like to build my own MTB. I ride road in the summer most of the time so I can take my time. The reason Im asking about the BMC is because I want to build a brand name but not a brand name if that makes sense. Everyone has a trek or specialized.
Any thoughts of this frameset? Im an XC'er not a hucker/jumper.
Thanks,

The BMC is an excellent frameset. I have the Superstroke, which is the 6" version and it is incredible. With a big bike like that I can climb like any XC rider and descend like any aggressive trail rider. If XC is your thing, then get the fourstroke. The good thing is that the current fourstroke has the carbon and trimmed rocker arm, so it is lighter than the previous model, and the paintjob looks beautiful. Get it, you won't be dissappointed.

i had a fourstroke for about a year and absolutely loved it. super smooth and not bad at all for xc racing, in my opinion. for a good price, it's a great bike.
