Bike to work events! FREE FOOD!

Hey just want to pass the word about some bike to work events that I have heard about. Now that the weather is getting nice, a lot of clubs/orgs are hosting bike to work days. If you can bike to work on this
May 15 Metroparks bike to work day
May 29 City of Beavercreek Bike to Work Day
June 12 Bike to work day for WPAFB

On May 15th the bike to work includes a FREE!!!! Pancake Breakfast, at 2nd Street Market 600 East Second Street, Dayton, OH. You can find out more at metropark Website: www.metroparks.org/biketowork .

I did this bike trip to 2nd street market last year and it was a lot fun free food, and live music.

I don’t have a lot of information on the other bike to work days, maybe someone else can help tell us about this items. I found them on the Beavercreek city website.

I just encourage everyone to get out on the road, and enjoy the sunny days.

I bike to work almost everyday but somehow almost always miss the "Bike to Work Days" where they give out free breakfast. One time i saw a breakfast give away as I rode over the train station but I really didn't want to stop and get in the fray. I had to get to work you see.

I might have stopped for live music though.

Ok, sorry I didn't realize there was already a hater thread established for organized bike to work days.

So bike to work day 2009 in Albuquerque is May 15th.

Don't take the train there isn't room for your bike I would assume. Haven't ridden the train in a few years.

Anyway, come. Do that. Here. yay!

I live in south Dayton and work in Kettering. I typically ride to work 2-3 days per week. I won't be able to able ride to the 2nd St. Market and still get to work at 7:30. My boss is a jerk (I'm self employed) and requires that I be at work on time. Good luck with the events and telling people that Dayton has the best MUP system in the nation.

I am not aware of a dedicated bicycle to work day in my city but we do have "Drive your car like a complete moron and see how many people you can piss off days". This lasts about 365 days per year but there is no free breakfast.

The non-free breakfast is eaten at the wheel along with talking on the cell phone, doing the crossword puzzle ...
