some guys are discussing the San Jose in another CX forum. I checked it out online and was surprised to see the MSRP was $850. That seems a little insane. Seems like a fail deal at $600. I know a lot of guys race on these. Anything else a SSCX guy might like?

I don't think $850 retail is unreasonable for what it comes with. Hopefully your LBS can give you a bit of a break on it.

Yea, I've seen them at the LBS for about $650...and a few on craiglist for $450-$500...

Mine was cheaper than that - around $600 +/- The wheelset was junk. I didn't expect very much but I have to say that the wheels fell short of my minimal expectations.

I would love San Jose myself but I might cheap out and get the Motobecane
