Just bought RIH frame- is it Dutch or Austrian????

Just bought this RIH track frame, 56 cm. Seller said it was dutch, but I'm really not sure. Could anyone make a proper ID? Frame is new old stock.

I'm also looking for a bottom bracket and crankset combo for this frame if anyone has some ideas. Can't find much info on RIH specs...which is why I'm here.

does NOS typically have dings/dents? I can't ID the frame but it looks nice. i have no idea what steel it is made out of or what the geometry is, but it looks like it support a rear rack and I do like the decals

RIH are a small Dutch (Amsterdam) outfit. They make really nice stuff.

Have built bikes for various national and olympic champions back in the day. Their shop is really cool if you ever get a chance to travel to Holland.

not dutch

I figured out that it's not a dutch frame, although there's almost no information on either company on the web. It is definitely an Austrian RIH track frame, I can't find a picture anywhere online of another Austrian RIH track frame. You can tell from the logo on the front in the gallery. I'm gathering parts for this frame right now, having some trouble figuring out a crankset/bottom bracket combo. The owner said it takes a 70 X 108 Italian threaded bracket, I've found a lot of options but it's tough finding a black crankset that fits this size bracket. Comments/ideas welcome!

well the length of BB spindle depends on what crank you want to use! You definitely need a 70mm Italian threaded bb but the length of the spindle depends on what crank you want to use. If you want black sugino 75, get the sugino 75 BB in Italian threading. If you already bought the 70mmx108mm BB, that will work w/ a Pake, IRO, or Andel crank. You can get black Andel/IRO for like 100 bucks...

As Fixedpip said, RIH are a Dutch brand made in Amsterdam. Lots of cool history in that shop if you ever get a chance to stop by.

There is also a Australian Brand called RIH.
It is the housebrand of the bikeshop from Franz Hamedl in Vienna.

They got a race bike team aswell and produced their own frames.

ummm...yea

yea, like i said i already figured out by matching logos that it's definitely the austrian frame builder and not the dutch one...but thanks for the redundancy. now if anyone could help me figure out the best drive train set up, that would be awesome. although i can't expect much, considering the ridiculous lack of information available online regarding either of these two acclaimed frame prodcuers.
