milestones
I complete my goal and reached my first milestone. 100 miles on the bike. I ended up doing 6 miles today to reach it. Unfortunately I wanted to do 20 but there was the threat of severe storms with hail and getting caught in that would have sucked.
My next is 40-50 miles in a day meeting with Historian on his c&o canal trip then 500 miles total. I'm excited I've found something I like to do that will help with the weight thing.
Anyone else have their own personal goals they've set that they would like to share; completed or not.

One goal is to hit 1000 miles this year, almost there at 730.
And I want to try to ride at least 5-6 days a week all summer

My goal for this year is to complete the Seattle to Portland ride in under 15 hours, on the two day event. My longest ride to date is 77 miles, with 30ish miles the following day.

When I started riding my goal was to ride a metric century and if possible a full century by the end of this years riding season. Its still early but I am signed up for a metric for the 13th and am supposed to do one with a couple of friends this weekend Im hoping the full century will be within a month or two. At the moment this is in the air as my rear wheel is acting up *sigh*

I set a goal to drop my weight down to 225. 250 at the new year and now 227!....I am registered to do Ride Around the Bear on JUne 13th. MY personal best is 7:40 for the 10,000 ft century. My next goal is to beat that which was set 5 years ago at 229 lbs.
Last week I did my usual 20 mile 5,000 ft climb. I felt so good after the descent that I climbed halfway back up the mtn to add another 2200ft. First time I've ever done that on this mountain.
Whether or not I beat my PR on the 13th, it sure feels good to be back in shape!
List of my Saturday rides for the last ten weeks:
10 weeks ago-40 miles 4,000 ft
9 weeks ago- 40 miles 4,000 ft
8 weeks ago-40 miles 5,000 ft
7 weeks ago- 40 miles 5,000 ft
6 weeks ago- 50 miles 5,000 ft
5 weeks ago- 50 miles 5,000
4 weeks ago-50 miles 6,000 ft
3 weeks ago-61 miles 6,100 ft
2 weeks-60 miles 6,100 ft
1 week ago-58 miles 7,200 ft
Now, I own this mountain DAMMIT! It doesn't own me!
You asked about goals, I'm just tellin' ya!...Climb mountains!

My cycling goals for the year are:
- that I be able to sustain an average of 15 MPH for one hour.
I'm making serious inroads on that one. I did a half hour tuesday at around 14 MPH average, and without traffic stops would have hit 15 for sure. I quit due to time constraints as opposed to exhaustion, so Im thinking 15 MPH is likely for an hour VERY SOON!
- a century
Well I know I can do this. if i get tired it'd take all day, but I know I can ride 100 miles. Now just to prove it.

My goal is to ride a 100 in a day, Ive been trying to get at least 10 miles in 3/5 days m-f then a bigger ride on the weekend day. Did a 23 miler 2 weekends ago with quite a few hills, and i have a fairly flat 60 miler planned for this weekend, depending on how i do on that, i'd like to do a hilly 50 miler the weekend after that, then mabye a flat 75 then a flat 100 in about a month... we'll see how it goes!

I have 2 goals this year.
First is to lose 12 - 14 more lbs.
Second is to go over 4000 miles for the year.
I'll probably make the first one. Doubtful on the second given that the year is almost half over and I'm still under 1500 for the year.

I have one goal this year, to beat last year, last year sucked, the weather this year, so far has also sucked. Last year I took my vacation last 2 weeks of May, it was cold, wet and miserable (same period was the same this year ). This years vacation, starts the end of next week, hoping to get in a couple of hundred km which will put me ahead of last year.
