I'm not sure what you are looking for, but Jude at Epic is a great builder. Check her out.

I am looking for people in the Portland area that builds wheels. Mostly of people who are known for thier work, and get a recommendation for their work. Yes I may be just lazy.

I'm 6-foot-4, and I've been building wheels for 30 years. Do I stand out enough?

FWIW: I'm retired from the bicycle business. Wheelbuilding, though, is an addiction- I need to get my fix a couple times a year. What are you looking for?

I need a rear wheel that can handle my rear.
I am wanting a rear wheel with a Velocity Deep V rim, and using a shimano 105 hub, with the correct spokes. Just have no idea who to do the labor, since I am not willing to do it my self.

There's someone occasionally posting on CL that he'll build wheels for $80. I know that River City will also build custom wheels, just tell 'em what you want.

Velocity Deep V + shimano hubs + 32 DT swiss butted spokes == over 10,000 miles carrying a 200+lbs rider happily

This was the first wheel set I built and am thrilled they continue to serve me so well.
