Does Anyone Have a Spare Copy of Pre 2008 NYC Cycling Maps?
I've been out riding as many of the 620+ miles of bike routes in the NYC as I can. I'm currently up to 345 miles.
I've become fascinated with the DOT's cycling map and have a 2009 & 2008 map. I would like to get the maps for the previous years. Does anyone have a spare copy of any of the pre-2008 maps?
Thanks for any help in obtaining same.

when I got the '09 I was thinking the same thing.
I had recycled a lot of old NYS road maps some years and later regretted it....and then did the same thing with all my old DOT bike maps a year or so ago....I think I just have the '08 laying around but I will double check to see if I kept some somewhere...

Old Bike Maps, Plum Beach and Egg Laying Horseshoe Crabs
Papa Tom... Has the recycling bin been emptied since you put them in there??
(Just joking)
While I got you here, I did check out your relocated website a couple of days ago and have an answer to a question that you raised on your page on Brooklyn bike rides. You asked about the name of the beach on the Belt Parkway bike path near the Knapp Street, Sheepshead Bay, end. It's Plum Beach, which was in the news about 2 years ago. The parking and beach areas have long been a meeting place for gay men. Plum Beach is also a big hangout for the venerable horseshoe crabs who come to lay eggs around this time of year.

Thank you. I don't exactly remember what the question was, which means it's probably time to review some of the pages on the site again (it's been up a LONG time!). Is Plum Beach the one where they do all the hang-gliding/wind surfing/whatever it's called? (Go ahead, everybody, have a blast with that one!)
