Something happened today
I had a completely uneventful, peaceful and harmonious karma-inspiring ride today. The commute was awesome, hot girls abounded on at least 2 parts of my ride, I got a call from my wife to tell me that she loved me and my Karate Monkey arrived and is waiting patiently for me to get around to building it until Saturday.
I have an awesome 12-mile single track ride with some minor technical work to do tomorrow after I get to play at the 'bicycle daycare' for 8 hours tomorrow. My wife thinks it's the equivalent to sending adults to daycare, and I agree.

I live in the city but have peaceful and harmonious rides all the time. This is what got me hooked in the first place and then I started falling asleep better at night. I ride all year round now and just feel better all together.

You gonna eat that?
I had a particularly harmonious ride yesterday as well. The heat usually takes it out of me, but yesterday I rode my Varsity, on its first commute after being converted to a tourist style bike, and in that configuration it just doesn't like to be hurried. So I just cruised along and enjoyed the ride, at a much more leisurely pace than usual.

"Bicycle daycare" is my wife's reference to my part time job wrenching at the LBS. All the money I earn there is strictly for bikes, but I get to learn a lot of stuff I didn't know - and perfect what I had a little knowledge of.
My wife considers it daycare because she knows I'm there instead of out doing crazy stuff like riding a 50m the morning before I have to be to work at 1 p.m. or on my day off disappearing for a 8 hour ride with friends.
Keep in mind, I usually have my 8-year-old son with me and she stays home with the other 2 boys. She's pregnant with our fourth (daughter) child and due in November, so she can't keep up with me at this time.
So it's 'bicycle daycare' or WTF is my husband and son for her
