Mark Renshaw is the muthaf*@kin man!!!
he is hands down the best lead out rider in pro cycling today...no doubt about it...Cav gets the shine, the kisses from the podium girls and the race wins, but Renshaw puts in work down in the trenches...this man is a soldier and I think he gets overlooked for his efforts and the actual speed and power that he puts down to pull Cav up out of the bunch sprint...when you watch the over head shots of the bunch sprints, and the Columbia train lines up, notice the violent acceleration and separation Renshaw creates when he drops the hammer...soldiers don't fight for fame, they sacrifice for the team...he is the definition

If there's one thing I respect about Cavendish, it's the fact that he acknowledges and thanks his team for helping him win every single time.

I would love to see him lead out Cavendish one day and Cav struggles to hold his wheel and he takes the win!!! Now that would be awesome!

OP - I couldn't agree more. I think Renshaw, Cavendish and big George have worked really well.

We all know Cavendish is egotistical but I have never heard a post race interview with him where he hasn't started with "the Team".
Next year there should be a "Sky" Cycling team. Sky being a big UK TV broadcaster who has been behind British Track cycling. All the Brits sound keen, all except Cavendish who consistently says "why would I leave the best team in the world for a "national" team?". The boy knows he needs his support.
This happens. Gert has left Boonen before, then you see Boonen throw his hands up and celebrate too. Wonder if Cavendish will be as gracious.

First time I'd heard of Cavendish was here in Sacramento when he was supposed to lead out Ciolek and rode him off his wheel. He would have won if he hadn't sat up.

I was more impressed today (Stage 11 - Wed) with the patience of George. I thought his bike maneuvering to overcome and out corner that other team (??? team) won the race for Cavendish. (even more so than the blistering lead-out by Renshaw)
Before the TDF I thinking George was getting a little old but now realize that having a general with demonstrated ability to make decisions on the fly wins races more so than raw talent.
