I've been watching that. Not a bad price, but not sure what I'd do with it. Anyone talk to the seller yet or see it in person?

^ I haven't made any contact with the guy. I'm not in the market for something like that.... I'm too cheap, plus, I have enough bikes for now.... Unless something from the 50's comes along then there is magically an open hook in the basement rafter

Yeah, I've sorta wanted a 3Rensho for a while now, but I know I wouldn't ride it much, and the asking price is pretty close to true market value. Maybe if it were $200-$300 less. It's one of those that I'd buy and keep if it were a bargain.

1973 Cilo Pacer

Looks interesting:

I bought this bike last year from the original owner that brought it back from Europe in the 70's. It was going to be a project for me but I don't have the time and need to pass it along. The stickers have been worn off but you can see that the frame is made of Reynolds 531 steel tubing and the cranks, derailleurs, shifters, dropouts and hubs are all Campagnolo. The wheels take tubular sewup tires, and the ones on it are probably original. The bike is extremely light for it's age but has been neglected in a garage for 30 years, it has tons of potential and just needs a lot of love. The tires hold air enough to walk it home but I wouldn't try riding it until they have ben replaced and some work has been done on the bike. There is also a minuscule dimple on the toptube just in front of the seat, I have photographed it as disclosure but it shouldn't compromise the bike. I originally planned to strip the paint and polish all the parts and then put it back together, but it's up to you now. Here is a link to more photos: https://s130.photobucket.com/albums/p...0Cilo%20Pacer/

This might make some of you guys cringe:

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/bik/2325525441.html

Great condition Peugeot PX-10 professionally built as a single speed / fixed gear bike.

-Reynolds 531 Frame and Fork. Chrome stays and fork ends.
-Rear Wheel- Mavic Open Pro on a Malliard Track Hub.
-Front Wheel- Mavic CXP22 on Campagnolo Hub.
-Dura Ace first generation Crankset w/ original Dura Ace Chainring.
-Ultegra non-series Front Brake.
-IRD Rear Brake.
-Suntour Sprint Bottom Bracket Spindle w/ French Cups and Bearings
-Phillippe Stem.
-Brooks Leather Saddle. (small tear is forming at the side of saddle.)
-Rack and Top Tube Pad included.

This is a great bike. It's such a smooth ride, and it's not bad to look at either. I am only selling it because I don't have enough space for it. If you're interested in coming out for a closer look, please include your phone number in your email. Thanks for looking.

Well there's always a chance that, before he slaughters any more classic bikes in his hipster ignorance, a local could go and "help him to see the error of his ways" ahem.

I'm not a local, just trolling some fertile craigslist ground. The price is not bad if it is truly a PX-10, you could ebay the mutt parts and recover most of the initial cost.

Doesn't bother me in the least. At least he didn't drew the frame. Who knows, he might have acquired it as a frameset.

That's a great bike - Bill Holland is a very underrated builder who works in custom Ti now. Mine rides very nicely. Almost certainly that's Joe Bell paint, too.

Bridgestone RB1 Road Bike, 58cm - $350 (Boston)

Date: 2011-04-14, 8:17PM EDT
Reply to: sale-ffwdg-2325803043@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

1988 Bridgestone RB1 Road Bike

57cm c-c top tube
58 cm c-c seat tube
All original Shimano 105 6spd component group. Triple butted tubes. Clincher rims. Ready to ride. Paint has some chips, but no dents or dings.

IF THIS BIKE FIT ME, I WOULD NOT BE SELLING IT!!!!!

From Sheldon Browns site (https://www.sheldonbrown.com/bridgestone/index.html):
"Road Models RB-1, RB-2, RB-3, RB-T
Bridgestone "road" bikes, particularly the legendary RB-1, combine frame design taken from classic Italian road bikes of the '70's with excellent Japanese workmanship and functional, reliable parts. The RB-1 was extremely popular with racers, and held its own against competing models costing hundreds of dollars more."

Here is the bike with full specs from the original catalog:
https://www.sheldonbrown.com/bridgest...ne-1988-17.htm

Catalog only shows 56cm and 59cm options for that year, so this must be considered a 59cm. Above measurements are actual.
