Tour of the Valley stage race comments
If you have anything to report or comment on, place it here.
Cat 4. I ended up with a 5th in the TT, 6th in the Fri. crit, 13th in the RR and 5th in the Sun. crit. There was at least 1 non GC racer inside of me in each race, so I scored GC points in all the events. Ended up 3rd on GC. Pretty happy with that. A tractor pulled out in front of me in the TT and I had to lock up the brakes. Cost me 3rd but would not have effected the GC.
Mostly I wanted to post on what a great race it was. The RR was way to hilly for a clyde like me, but the crits were flat so that made up for it. The staff did a great job from my view and there were tons of locals out helping with the events. Also the head of the CBB was out making sure the racers had all they needed. They want to grow this event for next year. It was worth the 4 hour drive for me to do my 1st stage race, had a blast. Even made enough $ to cover the hotel plus.
Anyone else?
