Check this out. VooDoo
Down here in good old old south in Atlanta Ga, we had us a big old race this past weekend, in one of our parks. 300 plus riders. Two big events that day! One of the guys in my group, broke his collier bone, bike was fine. Another rider broke his brand new Voodoo frame!!
Rider, thank god walked away without a scratch.

Bikes: Bike list is not a resume. Nobody cares.
Load-bearing duct tape (LBDT) should never be applied in critical stress areas like that. It shifts the stress loads to other, more-vulnerable parts of the frame, as evidenced here.

The duct tape was a big joke for the rest of the day. Yes it was to hold Gu. And yes the frame was new. From what I have heard, VooDoo has had several of that particular frame braking. Something about a bad batch of steel that was used.

Well, it happened during a 6/12 hour endurance race this past weekend. I was out there as a trail marshal. The frame did split on a flat straight way, he was only 3 hours into the race. I found out from our local MTN bike group chapter meeting on Monday, that he contacted Voodoo about the problem to see about a warranty. And that's when they told him, they had been having alot of problems with that frame. I myself have been thinking about saving for a Voodoo, but now I am second guessing.
