First Cycling Action Video

I took a video using my point and shoot camera of my wife doing the 500 M time trial at the track championships produced, directed and edited by yours truly staring my wife.

She is using a 49/15 gear and hits a top speed of ~32 mph.

Hey that was good. I've been going to the track over here, but I'm just a spectator. They have some young kids over here racing and I cant believe how fast they are. Anyhow congratulations to your wife on a great run.

Yeah, yeah. Great Video.

You wife would kick my butt in any situation. Who can't?

I may be in love with her. Big Deal.

But what group is doing that version of "Born to be Wild"? I couldn't find it on iTunes.

Guess I'm old and intransigent because I prefer Steppenwolf to Lambert. Still a good song to tie to VD's video.

For 40 years that song has brought me a mental image of those two choppers rolling down the highway. Well now it'll be the image of Velodiva flying around the track. Well done!

Last time I hit 32mph on the flat was on the Tandem. For some reason it wore my co-rider out.

Thanks. Track racing / riding is a totally cool experience. Much different from traditional group rides / races. It reminds me of a track meet with different events happening.

I was suspicious of this.

She was 2nd in her age group.

There was some happenstance with selecting that song. When I clicked on the add music icon, Imovie opened Itunes and presented the latest music purchase. She likes Adam Lambert and the music seemed to make some sense. I needed a pretty fast beat to give the impression of speed. I am with you on the image of the choppers.

Thanks to all for the nice comments. It was fun playing around with Imovie and linking up the text, photo, video and music.

Apparently there are free utilities on the web that will take the shakiness out of your video. Someone demonstrated it on a video I uploaded, and the result is amazing.

Thanks. I have ILife 08. Version 09 has movie stabilization software plus many features that are missing in 08.

I couldn't help but notice that your opening shot was not a zoom in or out. Rather, it was a pan down from top to bottom. Good to know she still keeps your interest. BTW, impressive ride. I'd need to draft a car to turn that big a gear.
