Ride Tor to Niagara Falls return by GO Train - rescheduled to Aug 8
Postponed due to rain. Rescheduled for Sat August 8.
A few of us are riding from downtown Toronto to NF Saturday morning July 25 and returning by GO Train.
I would say we are medium pace, some of us faster, so we will probably average around 25-30k/hr, sometimes pacing closer to 35k-40k/hr on some wide open stretches. This is meant as a social but sometimes fast ride - not a competition, not a "hairshirt".
If anyone is interested in joining us, please send me a private message and I will reply with more details.

Sounds interesting, but I'll be away on vacation. That'll be a VIA train you're coming back on!

Man, if it was a month or 2 later, I'd be all over it, but I need to build up to that distance a bit more.

The ride was fantastic and the group that turned out was a great group to ride with! But most importantly - we stayed dry! Hope to see even more folx out next time!

How many showed up? What'd you guys average on the way down there?
I was planning to join for part of the ride, but stayed out a bit too late the night before. Next time...

Many of us averaged close to 30k/hr for the day, and occasionally exceeded 40k/hr on some flat stretches with a bit of a tail wind. We did break up into a couple of groups, so as long as you can pace at least 25k/hr, you'll find a couple of people to ride with. We may do this again in September, or other GO Train rides, so stay tuned to this or the TBN website for details.
