I'm pretty sure I just got shot in the ass with a blowgun!
I was riding home on the Ballard Bridge in Seattle just a little while ago and I felt a sting in my left cheek. I thought that I must have been hit by a rock that had been run over by a car. I went down to feel it and there was a four inch dart sticking out of me!! I did hear a little "pop" sound right before I felt it too.
By the time that I figured out what it was, I looked up to see if I could tell who did it, but there were 4 or 5 cars that it could have been and all were speeding away from me. I got to the end of the bridge, stopped to make sure that I wasn't bleeding then rode home and called the cops. I figured it didn't matter if I called them from the scene or from home since I have no idea who did it. They won't be able to do anything, but I figured I'd at least let them know that some ******* is out there doing this.
Here is a picture of the dart next to my remote for some perspective on size.
Is this going to be the new asshat trend after those punks shot up the Tour?

thats insane. I can't say I've personally been shot at but like you said looks like someone was following in the footsteps of the punks shooting the TdF riders. Glad you're alright.

I think this thread has R600DuraAce type potential

Have you filed a police report? Are your tetanus shots up to date? Seriously, you need to get this checked by a health professional. The sooner you get it done, the less bureaucratic grief you're likely to encounter.

I'm waiting for the cops to show up to file a report. I'll probably go get checked out when I'm done with them. Have no idea how long it's been since I've had a tetanus shot.

That sux, but hitting a moving cyclist from a moving car with a blowgun is pretty impressive. I'd hang onto the dart as well. Maybe the press will pick up on it and someone will talk after you file a report. My guess would be punk kids and you know they are telling their buddies.....

There are traffic cams and other cameras all over nowadays that could help you/police if you have some more info to go on. A-holes like this willl eventually get caught, so having a report on file can link them to other crimes. I'm a firm believer in what comes around goes around. Good luck.
PS - punks probably filmed it and you're probably on YouTube by now.

That would be just perfect if they did post it. I can just see the Judge at the trial now *facepalm* !
So many people have been busted after they posted pics or video online. You would have to be seriously stupid.
OK human search engine - GO! SEEK!

I'm pretty sure that is what it is based on what I found online. Here's a link
