Hello from NC
I've been lurking of and on for a few weeks and appreciate all the info/insight on here for a newb. I'm 45 and am primarily an injured runner trying to figure out how to ride a bicycle. I've been farting around on my mountain bike for a few years but dug my '88 Schwinn Tempo out of the basement a couple of weeks ago (it took me 3 weeks to accept that I had to take time off from running), took it to my LBS and am now trying to figure out how to ride. I've been riding 5 times a week on one of the two bikes with a long ride of 36 so far.
I've been completely surprised at how much I've enjoyed riding. I didn't expect to enjoy it this much and have hardly missed running (well, maybe a little).
