mini-fenders?
Anyone happen to know where I can find a set of small, retro-style chrome fenders similar to these
or if anyone even still makes them?

the only thing that rear fender is protecting is half of your seat post tube...I see no real practical use for those...

The ones I remember from back in the day had a slightly longer rear fender. I should have specified that in my initial post.
My dad had a set on an old English racer he had when I was a kid and I recall them working just fine. It almost seems like the bike in those pics has the front and rear fenders switched around.

yeah I definitely think the bike in the pic has the rear fender backwards... but I would try finding some full sized ones and chopping them down to a size you like

Wald or Pyramid used to make some. I bought a couple from a bike store that had some in stock for pretty cheap $7 each. Not sure who would carry them online anymore though. I don't use mine anymore so PM me if you can't find any online.

Thanks arkiemark. I saw these Wald ones but they say they're for 26/27" wheels.

Do the ones you have fit 700c?

The front one will only help keep a little bit of water out your face, the rear one doesn't really do anything. I've got a couple sets in my junk pile, because they are pretty much worthless.

The only thing the front is going to do is prevent road spray from infiltrating your headset. The rear is worthless. Partial fenders are total junk. Either go all the way or don't bother.

Also, if you bump them, the mounting tab will bend and your fender will be crooked.

The responses, advice and opinions are appreciated but I am looking to build a single-speed conversion based upon a multi-speed bike my dad owned when I was young (for semi-sentimental reasons). His old bike had those silly little chrome fenders, which is why I am looking for something similar.
