Agreed.

My 1995 730 upgrade is coming along nicely. I've replaced all the regular contact points (ie, pedals, saddle, grips, handlebars) and put on friction thumbshifters. The rear wheel is hand built by Rich Lesnik of Hands on Wheels and the tires are brand new Vittoria Randonneur Hyper 700 x 32's. I upgraded the drivetrain to a 9-speed, 11-28 cassette. I just ordered a new fork to make the bike handle a bit more sporty and to change it over to a threadless stem. I'll also replace the headset, buy a stem and put on flatter handlebars. After that, I plan to put on a Deore 48/36/26 crankset, new derailleurs and new V-brakes. When I'm done, only the frame will be original.

Just happen to showed up on my Radar! My new boat bike. Nexus 8 speed from Bike Islands scratch and dent. My size plus extra $50 off for more scratches than usual. My wife just got the 14" for Mothers Day and love it. I surly was not expecting to get so soon. $299 shipped and I couldn't resist. I was wanting the black but the silver sure hides the scratches well.

Nice, I almost bought a Trek trailer that was red, yellow, and blue like that. But I ended up getting an In Step one instead for various reasons.

My 2011 Giant Seek 1, changed out the handle bar to a Nashbar trekking bar, changed out the pedal to MKS Grip Kings, added a 26650 XML U2 flashlight.

How's that flashlight working out, and where did you get it?

You looking dam good!!

I know that 26650 up front is killing, no need to even ask you that!! but, is that the little $2.50 /2.99 elcheapo rear light in the back??? If so, you are busting it big time...

Yes CEHowardGS, it's that cheapo light in the back. The front lights are Ultrafire UF2200 from manafont.com. All I know is that I am brighter than the street lights, and so far the brightest in the bike route I frequent.

2010 Cannondale Quick 6. Just picked this up last week for $200. Super clean and am looking to upgrade a few items once I figure out what I've been doing more road riding now so I figure I'd give my mountain bike a break.

What taping method did you use on your bars? I went with old inner-tubes wrapped "wrong way" followed by wrapping "right way" with cork tape. The result was a bar that was wide enough for my hand to grasp comfortably, and firm enough that I don't have to grip into the "squish" for control, yet nicely shock absorbant.

My Pace RC305 that is not a hybrid frame at all, it's a mountain bike frame, but I got it kitted out as a hybrid. Bontrager forks, Hope mini brakes 180/140, Shimano Alfine 11 gears, Chainset is kinda interim, being an XTR but minus two rings - not sure whether to cut it down or get something new. Hope wheels, Panaracer Ribmo tyres, Easton seat tube, Specialized Toupe saddle, Jones Ti bars, Most carbon stem.

It's looking great and the 12kg is a good weight for a hybrid.
