Scwinn World Sport mid 80's how to measure bottom bracket?

I am purchasing this crank to convert my schwinn world sport

https://cgi.ebay.com/EIGHTHINCH-FIXED...d=p3286.c0.m14

It requires a 103mm square taper, how can i measure my square taper to know that it will fit?

It won't. The stock bottom bracket on a Schwinn World Sport will have a 120 to 124mm spindle. You should get a bottom bracket to match the cranks. Fortunately, the World Sport had a standard English-threaded bottom bracket.

Hi ewingmaster. yes, as Jeff stated.that BB will work. I was looking at that 1/8 crank. you know you need a new chain right? the 'pitch of the teeth is not compatible with your "10spd" 3/32 chain

did you get you cog or single speed freewheel yet?

Yes, that bottom bracket will work.

You don't have to measure anything. The bottom bracket shell on a World Sport is English thread- that's all you need to know.

You need a cartridge bottom bracket tool and socket wrench or 1 inch wrench. Or just have them install it. They won't charge much.
